Job summary

Tec Partners Recruitment Ltd is seeking a hardware design engineer in the United Kingdom. You will lead digital and analogue hardware development from concept to production, collaborating with product management, software, mechanical, test and manufacturing teams.

You will define specifications, design schematics and PCB layouts in Altium Designer, select components, and write test plans to validate hardware with lab equipment. Travel may be role dependent.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, or comparable industry experience.
• 2–5 years hardware design and development experience.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Solid grounding in power supplies, signal integrity and noise mitigation.
• Hands-on lab experience.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Desirable: Altium Designer, RF circuit design.

Responsibilities

• Define product and design specifications with Product Management.
• Design digital and analogue hardware, creating schematics and PCB layouts in Altium Designer.
• Select and analyse components for optimal performance.
• Write and run test plans, and debug and validate hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analysers and spectrum analysers.
• Lead product development projects and support products through their lifecycle.
• Maintain technical documentation and support production, sales and customers.
• Take part in design reviews and quality audits.
