Job summary

Circle Integrated Care is seeking a HCPC-registered physiotherapist or occupational therapist to lead specialist hand therapy within the physiotherapy department. This bank role requires covering busy periods and annual leave, with duties spanning assessment, treatment planning and supervision.

You will work with orthopaedic and surgical teams to deliver coordinated care, teach colleagues and ensure rigorous record keeping and outcome tracking in line with organisational standards.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with post-registration experience in musculoskeletal or upper limb rehabilitation.
• Specialist hand therapy knowledge including splinting and post-surgical care.
• Experience leading or developing specialist therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Undertake specialist assessment and treatment of patients with complex hand injuries and upper limb conditions.
• Develop and implement highly specialised treatment plans including splinting and functional rehabilitation.
• Lead the hand therapy service as the clinical expert within the physiotherapy and OT teams.
• Collaborate with orthopaedic consultants, plastic surgeons, nurses and other health professionals for coordinated care.
• Deliver teaching, training and supervision to therapy colleagues and students.
• Maintain high standards of records and outcome tracking in line with requirements.
