Job summary

IDVERDE LIMITED is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small team delivering grounds maintenance and cemetery services around Salisbury. You will supervise tasks, ensure quality, and maintain safe, respectful service for bereaved families.

Experience with grave digging and mini digger operation is essential, along with COTS qualification and a full UK driving licence. IOSH or other safety certificates are highly beneficial, and a commitment to a diverse, inclusive

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience within grounds maintenance/landscaping required.
• Experience with excavation and mini digger is essential; grave preparation/ interments desirable.
• COTS qualification is required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• IOSH or other health & safety certificates are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the grounds maintenance team, allocate tasks and monitor quality.
• Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, leaf clearance and seasonal tasks.
• Operate a mini digger safely for grave excavation and related works.
• Support burial/interment services with professionalism and respect.
• Maintain daily records of work, machinery checks and site issues.
• Provide guidance and monitor attendance, conduct and performance.
• Liaise with clients, cemetery staff, funeral directors and the public.
• Follow risk assessments and health & safety procedures.
