Job summary

idverde is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small team delivering cemetery and grounds maintenance services around Salisbury. You will oversee daily tasks, ensure safety, and communicate with clients and funeral directors while maintaining records.

The role is permanent, full-time, with a shift pattern 7am-3:15pm. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in grounds maintenance, is skilled with excavations including mini digger work, and holds a COTS

Qualifications

• Minimum supervisory experience in grounds maintenance/landscaping.
• Experience with excavation and mini-digger operations preferred.
• COTS qualification is required.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• IOSH or additional health & safety certificates beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organise the grounds maintenance team, allocate tasks and monitor quality.
• Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, leaf clearance and seasonal tasks.
• Operate a mini digger safely for grave excavation and related works.
• Support burial/interment services with professionalism and discretion.
• Maintain daily records of work, checks, incidents and materials.
• Provide on-the-job guidance and monitor attendance and performance.
