As a pivotal member of our team, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our pressure regulating installations, pipelines, and their associated systems. Your expertise will be crucial in driving efficiency, effectiveness, and safety across all our operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Gas Engineer, you'll never experience a dull moment. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, ensuring that your work remains engaging and fulfilling.

  • Multi-skilled Team Development:You'll be part of a versatile team dedicated to maintaining pressure control assets. This role offers the chance to develop a wide range of skills and take on new responsibilities, keeping your career growth on track.
  • Hands-On Maintenance Tasks:You'll perform essential maintenance on pressure regulating installations up to 85 bar, adhering to company policies and procedures. This hands-on work ensures that you stay at the cutting edge of industry standards.
  • Proactive Fault Response:You'll play a crucial role in addressing faults identified by Cadent control systems within specified service level agreement times. Your quick thinking and problem-solving skills will be put to the test, making a real impact on our operations.
  • Plant Protection Activities:You'll advise third-party companies on the impact of their work on Cadent assets and supervise nearby excavations. This responsibility ensures that our assets are protected and operations run smoothly.
  • Pipeline and Asset Monitoring:You'll conduct pipeline inspections, maintenance, and condition monitoring, ensuring compliance with company policies. This vital task helps maintain the integrity and safety of our infrastructure.

Skills and Experience

We’re looking for people who act with pride, purpose, and ownership to join the team, along with:

  • Ideally, proven, and demonstrable experience of working in gas asset operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering activities is essential, qualification desirable.
  • Hold a full valid UK driving licence.
  • Are willing to work flexible hours, including standby and shift work, and also attend training.

Please note that this position will close on Monday 26th May 2025, with interviews scheduled to commence from Monday 2nd June 2025.
