Job summary

Hursh Labour Solutions LTD is recruiting a Ganger / drain layer / ground worker for an on-site role in Royal Tunbridge Wells. You will supervise a small team, lay and maintain drainage systems, excavate, and prepare ground to specification.

This full-time position requires reading site plans, adhering to health and safety, and coordinating with site management and contractors. Work outdoors, with varied weather, and a good rate of pay on site; start 28/09/2026.

Qualifications

• CSCS certification and eligibility to work on UK construction sites.
• Experience in groundworks, drainage, excavation, and sub-base preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans.
• Experience leading site teams and coordinating activities.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate small team on groundworks and drainage projects.
• Ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
• Read site plans and liaise with site management.
• Maintain records of work completed and report progress.
• Coordinate with other site operatives and contractors to keep projects on schedule.
