Job summary

CPJ Field, the UK’s oldest funeral directors, currently have a position for an experienced or trainee Funeral Director to join our Heritage & Sons Funeral Homes in North Buckinghamshire (Bletchley, Buckingham and Winslow). You will oversee smooth operation of the funeral homes and lead the team to deliver compassionate, professional services.

You will guide families through funeral arrangements, mentor colleagues, manage financial matters, and participate in a 24-hour call-out rota.

Responsibilities

• Guide and advise families through funeral planning and related services.
• Lead and coach colleagues to meet performance standards.
• Mentor and discipline colleagues as needed.
• Uphold company standards and communicate effectively.
• Lead by example delivering exceptional service.
• Support colleagues and coach on performance.
• Be a guardian of standards and problem-solve with the team.
• Manage financial matters including debt collection.
• Promote the business locally and support Never Alone initiatives.
• Provide holiday and sickness cover for other funeral homes.
• Participate in the 24-hour call-out rota.
