Job summary

Be-IT Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Developer in Scotland with hands-on JavaScript and TypeScript expertise. The role combines technical leadership with architecture responsibilities in a hybrid Scotland-based setup.

You will drive product design from concept to production, work across a modern stack, and experiment with AI to enhance software delivery. Visa and right-to-work conditions apply according to UK requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of full-stack software development with leadership.
• 5+ years in JavaScript/TypeScript full stack.
• Strong system design & domain modelling.
• Track record of clean code and SOLID principles.
• Experience building large-scale SaaS platforms.
• Experience in CI/CD environments with DevSecOps.
• Forward-thinking use of AI to accelerate delivery.
• Aptitude for problem-solving and quick learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; comfortable with customers.
• Experience building secure, scalable systems.
• Experience deploying/operating NodeJS/Vue stacks in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders on solution design, scoping and architecture from the earliest conversations.
• De-risk uncertain areas of a design through spikes and proof-of-concepts before committing the team to a direction.
• Experimenting responsibly with AI, choosing your tooling and how it is utilised.
• Work with initiative managers to break ambitious ideas into deliverable epics and stories.
• Turn user stories into production code as a high-performing individual contributor and as lead developer and embedded architect.
• Champion the quality, maintainability and operability of everything you and the team ship (fellow engineers and agentic agents).
• Stay close to the product in production, supporting it and resolving issues as they arise.
• Shape ongoing design, architecture and implementation decisions as the platform evolves.
