Job summary

Be-IT Ltd is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Developer in Scotland for a hybrid role with a £90-£100k package plus benefits. The position offers real ownership to shape products from first design conversations through to production code, with hands-on delivery and architectural decision-making.

You will work across a modern stack, deploying multiple times a day, and champion AI to improve software delivery. Requires 10+ years in full stack and 5+ years in JavaScript/TypeScript.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' full stack software development experience with leadership
• 5+ years' fluency in JavaScript and TypeScript full stack
• Strong grasp of system design and domain modelling
• Track record of clean code, SOLID principles and good design patterns
• Broad full stack experience, ideally SaaS platforms
• Experience in CI/CD and DevSecOps environments
• Forward-thinking AI usage to accelerate delivery
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders on solution design, scoping and architecture from early conversations
• De-risk design areas with spikes and proofs-of-concepts
• Experiment with AI tooling and integration
• Break ambitious ideas into epics and stories with initiative managers
• Turn user stories into production code as lead developer and embedded architect
• Ensure quality, maintainability and operability of shipped software
• Stay close to product in production and resolve issues
• Shape ongoing architecture decisions as the platform evolves
