Job summary

Futureheads Recruitment | B Corp™ is seeking a Lead Frontend Developer (UX) in the London area with hybrid working to lead a distributed team and shape frontend development across a portfolio of software products.

You will own frontend standards, UX tooling, accessibility and collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering to deliver high-quality digital experiences at scale.

Lead Frontend Developer (UX) | London Area (Hybrid) | Up to £100,000 per annum

We're working with a highly mission-driven global technology business looking for a Lead Frontend Developer, specialising in UX to lead a distributed team and shape frontend development across a complex portfolio of software products.

This is a senior role combining frontend development, technical leadership, UX and people management, with a strong focus on creating consistent, accessible and high-quality digital experiences.

The role

• Lead and develop a UX-focused team of frontend developers, supporting performance, growth and career development.
• Set standards and best practice for frontend UX development across the wider organisation.
• Take ownership of the organisation's shared UI and design tooling, helping product teams build consistently and efficiently.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering and UX stakeholders to prioritise work and improve delivery.
• Provide technical direction across major frontend initiatives and support teams working on complex products.
• Champion accessibility, quality and user-centred development.
• Help evolve frontend engineering practices, tooling and ways of working across the organisation.

What we're looking for

• Strong experience in frontend development, ideally across complex software products.
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or managing frontend / UX development teams.
• Experience working with design systems, component libraries or shared frontend platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend engineering practices and software delivery.
• Experience influencing technical direction across multiple teams or products.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A track record of taking ownership of complex projects through to delivery.
• Experience in a regulated or highly complex technology environment would be useful.
