Bridgend County Borough Council in Bridgend, Wales, is seeking a Supervising Social Worker who enjoys a challenging, fast paced service to supervise foster carers and complete annual reviews. The post requires 2 years post-qualifying social work experience, preferably in fostering, and knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislation.

The role is 30 hours per week on a part-time basis with a hybrid working policy.

Qualifications

• 2 years post qualifying social work experience preferably in fostering
• Experience supervising foster carers and completing annual reviews
• Working within regulatory requirements and legislation
• Recruitment of foster carers involved in support and development

Responsabilités

• Supervise foster carers and complete annual reviews
• Support recruitment of foster carers in line with regulatory requirements
• Attend/organise support and development workshops for foster carers
• Collaborate with Children’s teams, Care Experienced and Kinship teams
• Engage in life journey work and contingency planning for looked-after children
