Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapists to join the secure inpatient service. One full-time and one part-time (22.5 hours) role available.

You will manage complex caseloads, conduct assessments, and lead on specialist interventions within a supportive MDT environment. The role requires flexible service delivery, a vision for innovative OT practice, and engagement with patients, families and partners to promote recovery in a secure

Qualifications

• Appropriate professional qualification for occupational therapy role
• Current registration with specific regulatory body
• Post graduate training in relevant specialist area if applicable
• Minimum 18 months post qualifying experience of occupational therapy delivery
• Experience of supporting people with mental health issues, learning disability or autism
• Experience of working in Multidisciplinary Team
• Experience of managing complex occupational therapy cases
• Ability to engage and communicate with adults with mental health needs

Responsibilities

• Complete occupational performance assessments and occupational formulations
• Use client-centred approaches to co-produce negotiated occupational goals and evaluate these
• Provide clinical advice and support relating to occupational needs with multidisciplinary professionals and multi-agency partners
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary team working in line with service policy and Ridgeways Clinical Model
• Engage with and supervise others; participate in OT supervision networks
• Support service improvements and quality initiatives
