In this strategic leadership position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of medication processes, ultimately improving patient outcomes. Your insights will guide the development and implementation of pioneering informatics solutions, bridging the gap between pharmacy and healthcare technology.
Main duties of the jobTo work closely with the Lead for Clinical Informatics and ePMA and the Trust EPMA Programme Manager to configure, test and implement the Trust EPMA system. This will involve assisting in, and leading on some aspects of the support, maintenance and development of the EPMA system and being responsible for the day to day management of the pharmacy components of the EPMA system once implemented. It will also involve being part of and assisting in the writing and the development of key aspects of the EPMA program management and providing financial, usage and performance data to key members of the EPMA team and others in the Trust as needed.
To deputise for the Lea Lead for Clinical Informatics and ePMA for certain relevant program aspects and present at key EPMA and Trust forum as needed.
Additionally, to be flexible and support the pharmacy IT colleagues pharmacy systems during key periods and times of their absence.
To be responsible for and provide patients with their medication safely and efficiently by dispensing/manufacturing/final checking and supplying from the pharmacy dispensaries, stores and aseptic laboratory as needed. To work as a medicines management technician at ward level as needed.

1. Support the Trust EPMA team in the implementation, development, testing/validation and maintenance of the EPMA system across the Trust.

7. To liaise with the EPMA system supplier to ensure the appropriate maintenance of the EPMA system and the continued delivery and development of its functions and upgrades.
8. To support the Lead for Clinical Informatics and ePMA in providing data and conducting audits for strategy development, service planning, performance and activity monitoring, budgeting and financial management. To lead on providing monthly reports on medicines prescribed and administered within the Trust.
9. To regularly audit, analyse and interpret data to identify anomalies, resolve problems and ensure data integrity.
10. To liaise with and cover the duties of the Pharmacy IT team and pharmacy systems as needed but primarily during periods of their absence.
