Job summary

Oscar Mayer Group UK is seeking a Hygiene Supervisor for the Wrexham facility. You will lead hygienic cleaning and sanitation across production and warehousing, ensuring GMP/HACCP compliance and high food-safety standards.

The role requires supervising a hygiene team, conducting inductions, and scheduling work for nights Sunday to Thursday 10pm–6am. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing/processing environment.
• Experience supervising hygiene or cleaning teams.
• Knowledge of HACCP and GMP food safety systems.
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals and hygiene validation.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends.
• HACCP certification completed.
• COSHH training completed.
• Experience with BRCGS/ISO 22000 or similar standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily cleaning across production, warehouse and related areas.
• Ensure tasks follow sanitation procedures and schedules.
• Verify safe use and storage of chemicals and equipment.
• Monitor hygiene standards and take corrective action.
• Ensure GMP/HACCP compliance and food safety standards.
• Train and develop the hygiene team.
• Conduct inductions and ongoing hygiene training.
• Assign work and monitor team performance.
• Manage attendance, scheduling and overtime as needed.
• Promote safety culture and housekeeping standards.
