Job summary

Qflow Group is seeking an experienced Principal to Associate Director Flood Risk Engineer to lead and develop our flood risk capability, expanding in-house modelling expertise. You will own the modelling area, establishing best practice while guiding a team of 5–6 flood risk staff and a parallel number of infrastructure engineers.

The role combines hands-on hydraulic modelling, project leadership, and client relationship development, with flexible and remote working options.

Qualifications

Qualified in Civil/Water/Hydrology/Environmental Eng or related discipline.
Significant flood risk consultancy experience.
Strong hydraulic modelling experience (model development, verification, interpretation, reporting).
Experience with TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS or equivalent.
Understanding of flood risk assessments, planning policy, climate change impacts and flood mitigation.
Experience managing projects, budgets, programmes and client relationships.
Experience supervising or mentoring engineers and technical staff.
Ability to develop modelling capability and establish technical processes within a team.
Proactive, commercially aware approach with interest in developing new services.
