Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Principal Flood Risk Consultant in Peterborough to lead high-impact flood risk projects across the UK.

You will specialise in hydraulic modelling, 1D-2D modelling with InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, and GIS, mentoring junior staff and driving client engagement.

This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000-£72,000 with flexible working and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering flood risk projects with hydraulic modelling.
• Experience with 1D-2D modelling using Infoworks ICM, TUFLOW and GIS tools.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills for junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical work and mentor junior staff in flood risk management.
• Ensure quality assurance for technical deliverables.
• Develop and test project solutions for flood mitigation.
• Manage and supervise junior resources.
• Support project managers with financial and change control.
• Engage in business development activities, including tendering and client engagement.
