Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Head of Fixed Income Trading to establish and lead a new Fixed Income trading business. This senior role encompasses strategy, trading, technology, team build-out, risk management and commercial development as the franchise is built from the ground up.

The Head will define the proposition, recruit and lead the team, manage liquidity and risk, and work across Treasury, Risk, Operations and Account Executives to deliver sustainable growth

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in fixed income trading or market-making.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale a trading franchise.
• Strong commercial track record and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute strategy for the Fixed Income trading business.
• Lead build-out of the trading desk, including pricing, execution, liquidity, and inventory management.
• Establish risk management framework with Risk and Treasury.
• Define technology and infrastructure requirements for scalable front-to-back trading.
• Recruit, develop and lead the Fixed Income team as the business grows.
• Develop relationships with liquidity providers, counterparties and venues.
• Partner with commercial teams to drive trading volumes and revenue.
• Coordinate with Treasury and Operations on funding, settlement, and processes.
• Ensure regulatory governance with Compliance and Legal.
