Job summary

Barclay Simpson represents a fast-growing UK challenger bank in London, seeking a Financial Modelling Manager to lead cash-flow modelling for wholesale lending, CRE and warehouse finance. The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office and close engagement with senior Wholesale Banking and Finance stakeholders.

You will build and refine transaction models, develop modelling tools, and help shape the infrastructure as the wholesale platform expands.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cash-flow modelling experience in capital markets or structured finance.
• Experience building and manipulating financial models personally.
• Strong quantitative and transaction-modelling capability.
• Experience in discounted cash-flow modelling; NPV/IRR; sensitivity and scenario analysis.
• Familiarity with loan-level or asset-level data; portfolio analysis.
• Python/SQL/VBA experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Build cash-flow models for CRE, warehouse finance and structured lending.
• Analyse loan and asset-level data.
• Clean data tapes for prospective transactions.
• Perform DCF, NPV, IRR analyses.
• Run sensitivity and scenario analyses across assumptions.
• Develop modelling tools and frameworks to support growth.
• Present outputs to senior Finance, Treasury and Wholesale teams.
• Improve scalability and automation of models as volumes grow.
