Job Description:

Overview: Working within our team, you will oversee or directly deliver various events, installing and controlling lighting systems on time and within budget. You will be involved in planning, preparation, and execution, ensuring proper staffing and resource management, working closely with supervisors and project managers to provide excellent service to our clients.

Personal Attributes:

  • Experience or passion for lighting/audio equipment and technology
  • Problem-solving skills under pressure
  • Math skills to A level standard
  • Ability to read and interpret technical plans
  • Effective communication skills
  • Time management and adaptability

Desirable Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of temporary power systems
  • Experience with Capture and/or AutoCAD software
  • Experience in project management and working with designers
  • Safe working at heights (training provided)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and interpreting technical plans
  • Rigging, setting up, focusing, and de-rigging lighting/audio equipment
  • Working under pressure to deadlines
  • Programming and operating lighting/audio consoles, including Avolites Titan
  • Acting as a responsible person on site
  • Supervising technicians, freelancers, and local crew
  • Advising on system setup for events
  • Preparing pre-event work and ensuring completion
  • Learning from peers to improve skills
  • Complying with health and safety policies
  • Representing the company positively
  • Performing other duties as required

Working Environment:

  • Training and development opportunities
  • Non-standard working hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
  • Travel across the UK and Europe, including overnight stays
