Job summary

Levy in Liverpool is seeking a Floor Manager to oversee live and Confex events, leading front-line teams and agency staff to deliver exceptional service. You will supervise event operations from set-up to breakdown, ensuring spaces meet specifications and client requests while maintaining Levy Signature Service standards.

This operational role requires experience in large-scale events, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction, safety, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Industry experience delivering large-scale conferences, exhibitions, banquets or live events.
• Strong food & beverage operational knowledge and a passion for events.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop frontline teams in a fast-paced hospitality or events environment.
• Commitment to exceptional guest experiences and stakeholder relationships.
• Good understanding of labour management, health & safety, food safety and licensing requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills; able to decide under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operations Support: Lead delivery of exhibitions, banquets, corporate events and internal events, ensuring standards and timely execution from set-up to breakdown.
• Customer Service: Maintain a visible guest and client focus, address issues promptly and exceed expectations where possible.
• Team Leadership: Manage supervisors, casual staff and agency teams; conduct briefs/debriefs and support recruitment and training.
• Financial & Commercial: Support profitability by controlling labour, stock and waste and upselling opportunities.
• HSE: Ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety, allergen management and licensing requirements.
