Search Consultancy partner is seeking an Estimating Manager for their Glasgow operation, leading the estimating function across civil engineering, rail and infrastructure. You will oversee tender submissions and help develop competitive pricing strategies to secure new work.

The role requires a proven estimating leadership background, strong technical knowledge and experience with NEC contracts, along with excellent leadership and communication skills to collaborate across teams.

Formación

• Proven experience leading Estimating teams in civil engineering, rail or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of estimating processes, cost planning and tender preparation.
• Experience delivering multiple bids to challenging deadlines.
• Good understanding of commercial arrangements, risk management and value engineering (NEC contracts).
• Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills with a commercially focused mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage the estimating function, overseeing competitive tender submissions for civil, rail and infrastructure projects.
• Review documentation, drawings and scopes to establish requirements, risks and pricing strategies.
• Produce detailed cost estimates including labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Coordinate estimates from the team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
• Collaborate with pre-construction, commercial, engineering and operations to develop methodologies and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Foster relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors and support business development.
