Job summary

Lead Estimator role in the UK to drive accurate, competitive estimates for major engineering and construction projects from concept through execution. You will lead the estimate development, coordinate multi-discipline inputs, and push data‑driven decisions to win bids and manage commercial outcomes.

The position emphasizes leadership within an established estimating function, combining technical estimating expertise with team leadership and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Leading the preparation of estimates across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management activities.
• Coordinating inputs from engineering, procurement, construction and supply chain teams, including reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Developing estimating databases, productivity norms, benchmarking data, and Basis of Estimate documentation.
• Identifying risks and opportunities, supporting bids, project controls, variations, forecasting, and commercial decision-making.
