Job summary

Alexander Dennis Limited is hiring a Lead Engineer to steer Functional Safety and Automotive Cybersecurity across our vehicle platforms. You will guide safety and security practices within the Architecture & Software team, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434 from concept to production.

You’ll lead cross-functional reviews, translate complex requirements into practical engineering tasks, and drive robust solutions for next-generation, software-defined buses and passenger vehicles.

Qualifications

• Experience in Functional Safety and/or Automotive Cybersecurity in automotive, bus, or transport sectors.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, reviews and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable requirements and drive robust engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical activities across Functional Safety and Automotive Cybersecurity in line with ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434.
• Provide technical leadership from concept through production for safety and security of vehicle platforms.
• Influence development of next-generation sustainable transport solutions and software-defined vehicle technologies.
