Job summary

Alexander Dennis Limited in the UK is seeking a Lead Engineer for Functional Safety & Cybersecurity to guide safety, security and integrity across our vehicle platforms. You will lead activities aligned with ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434, mentoring teams and reviewing requirements to deliver robust, safe, and connected buses and coaches.

You will collaborate within the Architecture & Software team to ensure best practices, guide cross‑functional discussions, and influence the development of

Qualifications

Experience leading safety and cybersecurity activities in automotive or transport domains.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical requirements and drive cross‑functional reviews.
Knowledge of ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434 standards and related lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across Functional Safety and Cybersecurity.
Lead engineering reviews and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure compliant solutions.
Guide safety case development, hazard analysis and risk assessments.
Influence architecture and software development to deliver safe, secure vehicles.
