Job summary

Elanco seeks a Lead Engineer (Customer Identity & Consent) to drive technical discovery and deliver secure, scalable identities and consent services. You will work across SAP CDC, SFMC, Veeva Vault CRM, and e-commerce platforms with a mix of vendor and in-house teams globally.

The role requires strong architecture, hands-on engineering, mentoring, and collaboration with Product Management and Stakeholders. Hybrid work in Hook, UK is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with modern application architecture methodologies (SOA, API-Centric Design, Twelve-Factor App).
• 5+ years of cloud-native design patterns with Azure or Google Cloud.
• 5+ years delivering digital solutions with a product mindset and various delivery methodologies (Agile, CCPM).
• 5+ years in a DevSecOps culture with CI/CD and TDD practices.
• Experience deploying software using Docker/Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Databricks.
• Familiarity with identity services and enterprise platforms (SAP CDC, Veeva Vault CRM, SFMC).
• Hands-on software engineering with web technologies (TypeScript, JavaScript, Node, React).
• Experience supporting digital platforms with integrations, release management, and testing.
• Experience scaling API ecosystems and API-first integration patterns.
• Experience with authentication/authorization protocols and patterns.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence product direction.
• Strong communication across IT, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack, reliable digital products with front-end, back-end, and third-party SaaS integrations.
• Build and run product capabilities, including event reporting and custom solutions while managing technical debt and quality.
• Collaborate with teams to align with Elanco standards and support backlog sizing and engineering approaches.
• Apply secure coding practices and embed privacy, data protection, and QA across solutions.
• Lead innovation initiatives, participate in rotations, and contribute to the engineering community.
