What’s the job about?
  • Lead the site engineering teams to deliver engineering and production plans, service levels, and strategies within quality, safety, and cost parameters.
  • Implement and drive engineering strategies to improve reliability, quality, safety, and asset utilization.
  • Apply best practice maintenance principles for SHE, capital projects, and asset care.
  • Manage engineering systems, structures, resources, and processes.
  • Assist in planning manufacturing assets and maintenance proactively.
  • Oversee the engineering stores system to ensure critical spares availability and stock control.
  • Deliver engineering KPIs aligned with manufacturing performance and company objectives.
  • Identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coach and develop direct reports, monitoring performance and supporting personal development.
  • Manage projects and lead change initiatives.
  • Act as deputy for the Engineering Manager.
What skills are you going to bring to the team?
  • Engineering qualifications (apprenticeship or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a medium/large automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading engineering teams.
  • IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Experience with CMMS and stock control systems.
  • Proficiency with engineering KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Project management and change leadership experience (desired).
  • Knowledge of OEE and lean manufacturing techniques (preferred).
