Job Advert: Lead Engineer – HVAC/Pump Specialist (Commercial Maintenance, London/M25 Area)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Company Van (Personal Use) + Fuel Card
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced Lead Engineer with a strong background in HVAC and mechanical pump systems to take ownership of a key commercial maintenance portfolio within the M25. This is a great opportunity for an established engineer ready to step into a leadership role or someone already leading from the front and looking for a fresh challenge.
As the Lead Engineer, you'll be responsible for both technical delivery and operational oversight across multiple commercial sites. Your duties will include:
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems (VRV/VRF, AHUs, FCUs) and mechanical pump systems (booster sets, pressurisation units, circulation pumps)
Leading on-site works, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Supporting and mentoring junior engineers, providing technical guidance when needed
Working closely with management to report on site activity, escalate issues, and ensure client satisfaction
Maintaining documentation and ensuring timely completion of work reports
Competitive salary up to £55,000 (based on experience)
Company van with fuel card – available for personal use
Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
Leadership qualities and confidence in managing workloads and team responsibilities
F-Gas qualification and relevant mechanical certifications (desirable)
