Job summary

ZENOVO is seeking a Junior Firmware Engineer to join their Cheshire team on a hybrid basis (3 days onsite). You will develop and maintain embedded firmware for a range of electronic products, writing C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems and collaborating with cross-disciplinary engineers.

You will contribute across the development lifecycle, gain hands-on experience, and learn embedded systems concepts, development tools and best practices. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• Some commercial, academic or project experience in embedded firmware development.
• Good programming skills in C/C++.
• Understanding of CAN communication protocols.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems architecture.
• Familiarity with debugging embedded systems using standard tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for a range of electronic products.
• Write embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems.
• Support design, implementation and debugging of real-time embedded software.
• Collaborate with electronics and systems engineers throughout the development process.
• Support firmware integration, testing and validation activities.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
