Job summary

David Leslie Ltd. in Winchester is seeking a Lead/Approved Electrician to join its electrical delivery team on defence and secure government projects. The role combines hands-on installation with testing, documentation and coordinating activities for a small team.

You will hold NVQ Level 3, AM2 and ECS card, with BS 7671 knowledge and full driving licence. Travel nationwide with a company vehicle is available; salary is £45,000–£49,000 with overtime and door-to-door travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Lead/Approved Electrician.
• Non-domestic installations experience.
• Valid ECS card and AM2.
• UK travel and full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Install and modify low-voltage electrical systems.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and installation requirements.
• Organise daily activities and support electricians, apprentices and other team members.
• Carry out inspection, testing, certification and remedial work.
• Coordinate material requirements and report progress or site issues.
• Maintain safe working practices and accurate records.
