Job summary

Vibrant Foods is seeking a LeadEngineer (Electrical Bias) to provide leadership and technical expertise across two manufacturing sites. You will oversee safe, reliable asset performance, drive continuous improvement and develop engineering capability with a strong electrical focus.

The role reports to the Head of Engineering and requires leading teams in a fast-paced FMCG environment, with a focus on HV/LV systems, automation and compliance. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Level 3 minimum in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Extensive senior engineering leadership experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food production.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and coaching.
• Strong background in HV/LV, power distribution, automation and control systems.
• Knowledge of maintenance strategies and reliability principles.
• Experience as Electrical Duty Holder or Senior Authorised Person is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical oversight across two manufacturing sites.
• Develop engineers and apprentices; establish competency frameworks and standards.
• Drive safety, reliability, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead electrical and mechanical systems; oversee HV/LV, distribution, automation and controls.
• Lead fault investigations and root-cause analyses; develop preventive maintenance strategies.
• Support capital projects, commissioning, shutdowns and plant upgrades; manage contractors.
• Monitor asset performance, KPIs and budgets; improve reliability and cost.
• Coordinate multi-site maintenance planning and resources; deputise for Head of Engineering.
