Job summary

Equans is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a Derby-based role. You will oversee electrical maintenance across academy sites, ensuring works meet safety, compliance and quality standards. Strong leadership and customer-facing skills are essential.

You will manage planned and reactive maintenance, supervise contractors, and apply BS7671 18th Edition knowledge. The role requires effective communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition BS7671 qualification/competency (essential).
• Demonstrable experience in electrical engineering/maintenance.
• Experience in a management, supervisory or team-lead role.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and professional approach.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support delivery of electrical maintenance across academy sites.

• Apply BS7671 18th Edition knowledge to daily tasks.
• Monitor quality and address issues promptly.
