Job summary

AECOM in Croydon is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead MEP and multidisciplinary teams on small, medium and large projects. You will guide the electrical discipline, collaborate with architects and clients, and deliver robust design solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive project delivery, and contribute to building services design using Revit. A strong track record in low voltage distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and coordination with other disciplines is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical or building services engineering, ideally Chartered or with qualifications leading to this.
• BPSS or SC clearance preferred; Sole UK National preferred for some projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead small to mid-sized project teams on building services design.
• Serve as discipline lead for mid-to-large projects and provide technical input.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee design studies and proposals.
• Present technical solutions to clients and liaise with Architects and other design teams.
• Ensure BIM design processes and Revit-based projects are delivered to the required standard.
