Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design and delivery of building services projects across multiple stages from concept to construction.

You will coordinate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams, develop design strategies, and oversee design programs while mentoring junior engineers. Hybrid working is available, with opportunities across commercial, refurbishments, education, healthcare, and residential sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• UK experience in electrical building services design.
• Experience delivering electrical designs across project stages.
• Ability to manage workload and deliver projects.
• Strong communication with clients and design teams.
• Experience using Revit, Amtech/Trimble, and Dialux.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of electrical design and delivery across multiple projects.
• Develop electrical design strategies, concept and scheme designs, specifications and detailed technical designs.
• Manage project workloads, design programmes and deadlines.
• Work directly with clients, architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Coordinate electrical designs with the wider project team.
• Review technical work and support the development of junior engineers.
• Attend design meetings and site visits through construction and post‑contract stages.
