Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer in Bedfordshire to lead the design and development of mixed electrical/electronic LRU solutions through a structured phase-gate process.

You will guide a technical team, define hardware design requirements, review supplier capabilities, and deliver schematics and PCB layouts, with SC clearance eligibility a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support mixed electrical/electronic LRU solutions from concept to completion via phase-gate process.
• Guide the team in integrating LRU deliverables, supporting assembly and installation.
• Define processes, specifications and procedures for design and manufacture of electrical/electronic hardware.
• Provide technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
• Facilitate development of functional and physical design requirements for integrated design architecture.
• Design and develop electrical/electronic circuitry (analogue, digital, microprocessor, FPGA).
• Schematic Capture and PCB layouts.
• Analysis, testing and evaluation of circuits and components.
• Electronic circuit simulation and analysis.

Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer

Location: Bedfordshire

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Design Team Lead, the candidate is expected to take responsibility for the design, development and support of mixed electrical / electronic LRU solutions from concept to completion following a detailed phase-gate development process.
• Provide guidance and governance to the team in the integration of the LRU deliverables, supporting as necessary assembly and installation.
• Define processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacture of the electrical/electronic hardware.
• Provide technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
• Facilitate the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture.
• Design and development of electrical/electronic circuitry (includes, analogue, digital, microprocessor, FPGA design techniques).
• Schematic Capture and associated PCB layouts.
• Analysis, test and evaluation of electronic/electrical circuits and components.
• Electronic circuit simulation and analysis.

You will need to hold or be eligible to hold SC clearance.
