Job summary

Tetra Tech's Water Consultancy in the UK is seeking a Senior Electrical & ICA Design Engineer to lead electrical design across AMP8 and AMP9 wastewater programmes. You will deliver ICA designs for treatment works, pumping stations and ancillary plant, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure constructible, compliant solutions.

In addition to technical delivery, you will mentor engineers, liaise with clients, and drive robust design governance across the programme.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Substantial water industry experience.
Chartered engineer status or working towards chartership (IET or equivalent).
Postgraduate qualification and AMP programme delivery experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Produce, check and approve electrical and ICA designs, calculations and specifications.
Develop ICA and SCADA architectures, control philosophies and functional specifications.
Size and specify LV/MV distribution, perform load assessments and prepare single‑line diagrams and cable schedules.
Integrate electrical/ICA deliverables with process, mechanical, civil and instrumentation disciplines and support CDM duties.
Provide technical governance, mentor junior staff, lead design teams and influence clients and supply‑chain partners.
