Job Description:

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Provide management support on projects across the business in design and optioneering exercises to develop initial client concepts into workable solutions.
• Liaise with internal and external clients to identify their requirements.
• Attend site-based surveys to understand project needs, including meetings with client representatives and data gathering to inform design solutions.
• Manage detailed design tasks in conjunction with other disciplines, ensuring compliance with client stage gate and approval specifications.
• Oversee the production of design deliverables and contribute technical guidance as needed.
• Review and approve design packages produced by other designers.
• Present designs during internal and external review meetings, such as HAZOPs and Technical Authority reviews.
• Proficient in transformer, generator, switchgear, and electrical installation design, including specifications, schedules, calculations, GAs, SLDs, CBDs, earthing, risk assessments, and cost and program estimations.
• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, telemetry assessment, selection, and design.
• Familiarity with industrial networks and communication devices, including Profibus DP, Profibus PA, Ethernet, ProfiNet, etc.

To qualify, candidates should have 3-5 years of previous design experience, preferably within electrical engineering or construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background, leadership experience, and excellent communication skills to manage teams and stakeholder relationships.
