Job summary

Professional Technical Ltd in Derby is seeking an EHI Routing Design Leader to drive electrical harness design across a major rail project. The role starts with a 4–6 month period in Toulouse, France, before relocating to Derby, UK.

You will lead design resources, ensure first-time quality, manage subcontractors, and align electrical deliverables with project requirements. Fluency in English is essential; French is a plus. Salary £65,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant engineering experience with leadership exposure.
• Experience with electrical 3D CAD.
• Knowledge of electrical harness integration or train systems.
• Fluent English; French would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage EHI design resources and activities.
• Oversee the design and delivery of electrical harness installations and 3D models.
• Manage EHI QCD performance and external subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet requirements.
• Capture lessons learned and RoE from past projects.
