Yellow Brick Road is hiring a Lead Educator to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where children thrive. You will plan age-appropriate play-based lessons, observe development, and communicate progress to families, while maintaining a safe, collaborative classroom culture.

The role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing professional development, and strong engagement with parents to support each child’s growth and learning journey.

Qualifications

• Must meet DHS qualifications for Lead Educator in a licensed child care center.
• Experience working with young students in a licensed early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online lesson planning.

Responsibilities

• Implement play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans supporting holistic development.
• Maintain a positive classroom culture of safety and belonging.
• Observe, document, and assess student progress to tailor instruction.
• Establish and sustain a positive, respectful classroom environment.
• Provide daily updates to parents via the Parent Communication app; engage families.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and collaboration with staff.
