Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking an experienced early years practitioner to lead a room, supervise staff and support high-quality teaching and care in line with EYFS. The role requires strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent communication, and a commitment to professional development.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Early Years qualification, GCSEs, and at least 3 years’ experience in an early years setting, with the ability to lead practice and manage workloads.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years Qualification as required by DFE/EYFS
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent
• Pediatric First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an early years setting
• Experience leading a room or supervising staff
• Experience implementing the EYFS framework
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• Experience leading practice and supporting colleagues
• Strong understanding of EYFS statutory requirements and child development
• Sound safeguarding knowledge and safer working practices
• Ability to support high-quality teaching, learning and care experiences
• Ability to lead by example and support continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
• Competent IT and digital record management skills
