Job summary

You’ll join Blueberry Nursery in Hove as a Lead Early Years Educator (Third in Charge), working with the team to ensure high quality early years education and safe, nurturing care.

The role reports to the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager, with opportunities to lead teaching, drive improvements under EYFS, and contribute to a warm, collaborative environment aligned with Storal values.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years qualification is required.
• Minimum 6 months experience as an Early Years Educator or with children under 5.
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality teaching under the EYFS framework.
• Ensure all children are safe and have rich experiences.
• Build relationships with the team to create an inspiring working environment.
• Lead, motivate and inspire the educator team.
• Be third in command after the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager.
• Identify areas for change and implement improvements.
