Job summary

Carrington West in Derbyshire region is recruiting a Dual Civil Project Manager to lead two National Grid substation projects. You will oversee planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, coordinating civil subcontract teams and maintaining client relationships. The role requires Tier 1 contractor background, NEC3/NEC4 knowledge, and SMSTS/CSCS qualifications. A strong package with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex civil projects across substations.
• Experience at Project Manager level for Tier 1 or major infrastructure contractors.
• Knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
• Experience managing programmes, commercial performance and multidisciplinary teams.
• SMSTS and CSCS qualifications.
• National Grid experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of two major National Grid substation projects.
• Coordinate civil subcontract teams and stakeholders.
• Manage programme, cost, quality and overall performance.
• Ensure safe delivery in line with project requirements.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and delivery partners.
• Work within NEC contract arrangements and manage obligations.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder communication.
• Identify risks and implement mitigations.
