Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a Lead Driller Rotary to join our Infrastructure team. You will lead geotechnical drilling operations, setting up boreholes, and overseeing in-situ testing and sampling to Eurocode 7 and British Standards.

The role requires independence and teamwork. A Level 2 Diploma Land Drilling – Lead Driller Rotary, a blue CSCS card, and a full UK driving licence are essential. You will mentor assistant drillers and help maintain health and safety standards across sites.

Qualifications

• To be a successful Lead Driller Rotary, you should demonstrate the required qualifications.
• Valid blue CSCS skills card is essential.
• Full, clean UK driving licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Safely setting up and advancing boreholes in accordance with specifications.
• Completion of in-situ testing and sampling to Eurocode 7 and British Standards.
• Mentoring and training assistant drillers.
