Job summary

Adler and Allan is seeking a Team Leader for IMR in Stowmarket. This permanent, full-time role leads on-site drainage/utility work, ensuring safety and high workmanship standards.

You will support the Supervisor and coordinate with engineers and customers to meet project requirements and timelines. Key duties include safe site operations, attendance at toolbox talks, timely reporting, and travel to multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • Experience running small drainage or construction teams.
  • CSCS Card (or equivalent).
  • Strong health and safety practices on site.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
  • Physically fit for manual labour.
  • Reliable, punctual and team oriented.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple sites.
  • Strong understanding of drainage systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site drainage or construction tasks to safe, compliant standards.
  • Assist site supervisor with planning and coordinating work.
  • Load/unload materials and operate tools as trained.
  • Attend toolbox talks, site briefs and training sessions.
  • Represent the company professionally to customers and clients.
  • Report accidents and near-misses and document work details.
  • Coordinate workflow with engineers and other team members.

Team Leader - IMR
Stowmarket
Permanent/Full time

Lead Operatives are to assist in the delivery of on-site project works to a safe, compliant and to a high standard of workmanship. You will play a vital role in supporting the operational activities necessary for the delivery of utility services to our customers.

The Lead Operative will be responsible to the Supervisor.

More about the roles:

  • To work safely at all times and ensure the safety of all those working around them.
  • To comply with the requirements of the company policies, procedures and relevant risk assessments and method statements.
  • To report all accidents, incidents and near misses.
  • To attend Stand Downs, Team Briefs and Toolbox Talks.
  • Follow instructions from the site supervisor and or manager to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required.
  • To attend training and update courses as required.
  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and free from hazards.
  • To assist with accurately recording details of work undertaken.
  • Operate plant and machinery (where trained and certified).
  • To represent the company in a professional manner at all times to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with other team members, including engineers and supervisors, to coordinate workflow and achieve operational objectives.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools required for drainage work.
  • Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • You will be required to be on a works call out rota on a 1-4 basis- On a 7- day period.
Qualifications

About you:

  • Previous experience in running small drainage or construction teams.
  • CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme or something similar).
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites
  • Strong understanding of drainage systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
