Adler and Allan in Stowmarket is seeking a Team Leader - IMR to oversee on-site drainage works, lead small teams, and ensure safety and quality. You will coordinate with supervisors, manage materials, and uphold professional standards while interacting with clients.

Qualifications

• Experience running small drainage or construction teams.
• CSCS card or equivalent.
• Good understanding of health and safety on construction sites.

• Physically fit for manual labour.

• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of drainage systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operatives to assist in on-site project works to a safe, compliant and high standard of workmanship.
• Report accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Attend stand downs, team briefs and toolbox talks.
• Follow instructions from the site supervisor or manager to complete tasks efficiently.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools and equipment.
• Attend training and update courses as required.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and safe.
• Record details of work undertaken accurately.
• Operate plant and machinery where trained and certified.
• Represent the company professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate workflow with engineers and supervisors.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools for drainage work.
• Interact with customers courteously.
• Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to meet project requirements.
• Be on a works call out rota on a 1-4 basis over a 7-day period.

Lead Operatives are to assist in the delivery of on-site project works to a safe, compliant and to a high standard of workmanship. You will play a vital role in supporting the operational activities necessary for the delivery of utility services to our customers.

The Lead Operative will be responsible to the Supervisor.

More about the roles:

• To work safely at all times and ensure the safety of all those working around them.
• To comply with the requirements of the company policies, procedures and relevant risk assessments and method statements.
• To report all accidents, incidents and near misses.
• To attend Stand Downs, Team Briefs and Toolbox Talks.
• Follow instructions from the site supervisor and or manager to complete tasks efficiently.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required.
• To attend training and update courses as required.
• Keep the work area clean, organised, and free from hazards.
• To assist with accurately recording details of work undertaken.
• Operate plant and machinery (where trained and certified).
• To represent the company in a professional manner at all times to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with other team members, including engineers and supervisors, to coordinate workflow and achieve operational objectives.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools required for drainage work.
• Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• You will be required to be on a works call out rota on a 1-4 basis- On a 7- day period.

Qualifications

About you:

• Previous experience in running small drainage or construction teams.
• CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme or something similar).
• Good understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to various sites
• Strong understanding of drainage systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
