Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting on behalf of a large housing charity expanding services in Manchester. The Domestic Abuse Support Team Leader will manage a small team, supervise staff, and work with the Supported Housing Manager to deliver a safe, high-quality service for adults and children affected by domestic abuse.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, risk management and person-centred support, with a focus on tenancy sustainment and collaboration with statutory partners.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience of domestic abuse and safeguarding.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or leading staff.
• Ability to manage referrals, risk assessments and support plans.
• Full UK driving licence; DBS checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support a small team of Domestic Abuse Support Workers with day-to-day guidance.
• Collaborate with the Supported Housing Manager to run the service effectively.
• Provide practical and emotional support to adults and children with complex needs.
• Oversee referrals, risk assessments and support planning for residents.
• Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, recorded, escalated and managed.
