Job summary

Allied Bakeries is seeking a Distribution Team Leader to oversee the distribution function and fleet, ensuring safe handling and timely delivery of our flour products to customers. You will work with the mill team and Logistics Manager to optimise loading, schedules and KPI reporting.

The role requires CPC qualification, proven leadership in a similar FMCG setting, and strong numeracy, communication and IT skills to manage distribution systems and office duties.

Qualifications

• CPC qualification required.
• Demonstrable experience leading a team in a similar role.
• PC literate with Excel, PowerPoint and Word; distribution systems experience a plus.
• FMCG exposure is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day distribution and fleet operations.
• Coordinate with planners to optimise delivery schedules and service levels.
• Monitor sub-contractor usage and costs; maintain KPI reporting.
• Ensure health, safety, and food safety standards across the distribution function.
• Oversee driver appraisals, disciplinary processes, and shift handovers.
