Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in optics and optometry; interpret prescriptions and advise on lenses and frames.
• Demonstrated customer service excellence in retail or clinical settings.
• Experience supporting eye exams through effective patient communication and coordination with optometrists.
• Leadership and team management experience, including training and supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for a diverse patient base.
• Strong organizational skills for measurements, records, and stock control.
• Professional registration or qualification as a dispensing optician is highly desirable.
• Experience in optical retail or optometry practice is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead dispensing and front-of-house operations on-site.
• Advise patients on frames and lenses and interpret prescriptions.
• Ensure accurate measurements and fittings from selection to collection.
• Manage a small team, schedules, and staff training.
• Support clinic flow with pre- and post-exam interactions and issue resolution.
