Lead DevOps & DevSecOps Engineer

Hybrid - London, UK - (4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote)

Salary up to £130,000

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps & DevSecOps engineer to join our innovative client's team based in London. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing infrastructure for a globally distributed team, ensuring seamless operations across multiple projects and time zones using a follow-the-sun methodology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud-agnostic approaches, working with Python, LLMs, and data models to develop scalable, impactful solutions that can operate both on-premises and in the cloud without vendor lock-in.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud-Agnostic Approach: Lead the design and implementation of infrastructure and solutions that are not tied to a single cloud provider, ensuring flexibility and portability across platforms.
2. Global Collaboration: Manage a team across multiple regions to provide 24/7 support, leveraging a follow-the-sun methodology.
3. Multi-Project Management: Oversee multiple DevOps and DevSecOps projects, balancing priorities to deliver results on time.
4. Build, Mentorship, and Leadership: Build and mentor team members, fostering continuous learning and growth.
5. Python and LLM Expertise: Work with Python and large language models to develop, deploy, and optimize data-driven models and processes.
6. Design for Flexibility: Ensure solutions are designed to run on-premises and in the cloud, focusing on vendor-neutral infrastructure.

Experience

1. Proven leadership in DevOps and DevSecOps teams, with experience in designing and implementing global infrastructure.
2. Strong expertise in cloud-agnostic infrastructure deployment.
3. Experience managing teams and projects across multiple regions.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
