Job summary

Thames Valley Police is seeking substantive Detective Superintendent or Detective Chief Inspector for promotion to Detective Superintendent within CTPSE Investigations. The role leads Counter Terrorism Policing South East, manages threat and risk, and collaborates with partners to protect communities across the region.

Applicants must be PIP Level 3 accredited, ideally Level 4, and be prepared to travel across the South East and beyond.

Qualifications

• Accredited to PIP Level 3; Level 4 desirable; DV/MV security vetting required.
• Experience leading complex investigations, including counter-terrorism where possible.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region and UK.
• Ability to lead and motivate staff; promote inclusion and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the response to significant and complex investigations and incidents.
• Act as SIO for major investigations when required.
• Coordinate with partners to manage threat, risk and harm.
