Job summary

Wigmore Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated Design Technology Technician to support staff and pupils in the Design and Technology department. You will join an established team at the High School and coordinate practical resources and facilities, ensuring safe operation of machinery used in design technology.

Essential attributes include maintaining a clean, safe working environment, following instructions, practical skills, and strong interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

• Appropriate qualifications at Level 2 and above demonstrating capability of managing a practical school environment.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).
• English and maths at Grade C/4 or above at GCSE (desirable).
• First Aid certificate (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate use and development of practical resources and facilities.
• Provide guidance and support in meeting the practical requirements of the DT curriculum.
• Liaise with all areas of the school and external organisations.
